Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation releases footage of first serial Su-57 jet fighter

Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has published video footage of production and flight of the first serial Su-57 fifth generation multipurpose fighter jet. During the Single commissioning day, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu was told that the plane has already been produced and handed over to the Ministry of Defense within the contract on shipment of 76 machines. The corporation disclosed that the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Plant continues to prepare and deploy serial production of the plane. Starting in 2021, the corporation intends to increase the production rate of planes of this type.

Ballistic missile submarine Arighat in final stages of trials, to be commissioned early 2021

Once Arighat is commissioned, India will have two operational SSBNs that are equipped with the 750-KM range K-15 missile, designed for retaliatory nuclear strikes. India’s kilo class submarine INS Sindhuraj during the Malabar 2020 exercise in the Bay of Bengal Arighat, the second of the indigenous Arihant class nuclear-powered ballistic missile carrying submarine (SSBN), is in the final stages of sea trials and will be commissioned early next year, ThePrint has learnt. Sources in the defence and security establishment said the submarine has performed well during the sea trials so far, and added that the commissioning of the vessel was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. “It should be done (commissioned) early next year,” a source said. Centre Approves Indian Navy Proposal To Buy 10 Shipborne Drones

The Navy will acquire these drones through an open bid under the Buy Global category and then soon deploy them on its large size warships for surveillance and reconnaissance activities. After leasing two predator drones from the US, the Indian Navy is now going to urgently acquire 10 shipborne drones for enhancing its surveillance capabilities in the Indian Ocean Region, for which it has received the government approval recently. "A proposal moved in fast track mode by the Indian Navy before the Defence Ministry, under which it will buy 10 Naval Shipborne Unmanned Aerial Systems for around 1,300 crores has been cleared by the government." Indian Army launches 'SAI' - indigenous messaging application similar to WhatsApp

In the quest for 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' , Indian Army has developed and launched a secure messaging application named the "Secure Application for the Internet (SAI)" that supports an end-to-end secure voice, text and video calling services for Android platform over internet, the Ministry of Defence said here on Thursday. The model is similar to commercially available messaging applications like WhatsApp, Telegram, SAMVAD "The model is similar to commercially available messaging applications like WhatsApp, Telegram, SAMVAD and GIMS and utilises end-to-end encryption messaging protocol. India successfully test fires BrahMos cruise missile from Indian Navys stealth destroyer

(Representative image) India on Sunday successfully test fired BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from Indian Navy’s indigenously-built stealth destroyer INS Chennai today hitting a target in the Arabian Sea. It hit the target successfully with pinpoint accuracy after performing high-level & extremely complex manoeuvres. The test comes in the wake of BrahMos missile having a range of around 400 km being tested from an integrated test range at Balasore in Odisha on September 30. "BrahMos as ‘prime strike weapon' will ensure the warship's invincibility by engaging naval surface targets at long ranges, thus making the destroyer another lethal platform of Indian Navy," the defence ministry said in a statement.
