The coastal defence exercise Sea Vigil 2021, conducted by the Indian Navy In close coordination with Indian Coast Guard, State Governments and Union Territories concluded on Wednesday. It was the second edition of the largest coastal defence exercise in the country that was conducted pan India in all coastal states and UTs of India. The two-day exercise was conducted in close coordination with the Coast Guard and all other maritime stakeholders with the aim of validating the efficacy of the nation's coastal defence systems against threats arising from the sea. It was one of the largest coastal security exercises undertaken by the country in recent times, covering the entire spectrum of maritime security.
