Indian Navy to conduct coordinated patrol with Indonesian Navy on December 17-18

The 35th edition of India-Indonesia Coordinated Patrol (IND-INDO CORPAT) between the Indian Navy and the Indonesian Navy will be conducted between December 17 and 18. I ndian Naval Ship (INS) Kulish, an indigenously built missile corvette along with P8I Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) will undertake coordinated patrol with Indonesian Naval Ship KRI Cut Nyak Dien, a Kapitan Pattimura (Parchim I) class corvette and an MPA of the Indonesian Navy. ‘Today we are well-equipped to ensure that a dastardly act like 26/11 doesn’t occur again’, says an official CONTEXT The Navy’s Information Management and Analysis Centre (IMAC) will soon become a National Maritime Domain Awareness (NDMA) centre, with all stakeholders having their presence there. About IMAC It is the nodal agency for maritime data fusion. It was set up after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Approved by the Defence Acquisition Council in 2012. Became operational in 2014 and is located in Gurugram. It is the nodal centre of the National Command Control Communication and Intelligence System (NC3I) , which was established to link the operational centres and lower echelons of the Navy and the Coast Guard spread across the country’s coastline, including the island territories.

Indian Navy P-8I MPA In Reunion Island For Combined Training With French Forces

An Indian Navy P-8I Neptune Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) visited Reunion Island to train with the French Air Force and Navy based on the island, known as "FAZSOI".
