F/A-18 operation on Indian carriers successfully demonstrated: Boeing

Demonstrations were held on a shore-based facility at Naval Air Station Patuxent river in Maryland, U.S. Boeing on Monday announced the successful demonstration of the compatibility of its F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jets with the Indian Navy’s aircraft carriers as part of its pitch for the Navy’s fighter procurement. All such candidates who have qualified in the phase 1 exam can now download their admit cards through the official website of Indian Air Force. i.e. airmenselection.cdac.in. Indian Army deploys troops with shoulder-fired air defence missiles near China border

(Representative Image | Credits: Freshers LIVE) The Russian-origin air defence systems are used by both the Indian Army and the Air Force and are supposed to be used when the enemy fighter jets or choppers come close to own locations or deployments during hostilities.  The Indian side has also enhanced its surveillance through the deployment of radars and surface to air missile systems to keep track of the enemy air movement there. While building up in the Eastern Ladakh sector including areas such as Galwan valley and Patrolling Point 14, the Indian forces had observed that a number of Chinese choppers had tried to come inside Indian territory near the flashpoints.
