INS Airavat arrives in Sudan with food aid during pandemic as part of Mission Sagar-II

As part of 'Mission Sagar-II', Indian Naval Ship Airavat carrying a consignment of 100 Tonnes of food aid arrived in Sudan today. Under the mission, the Indian government is providing assistance to friendly foreign countries to overcome natural calamities and the coronavirus pandemic. Mission Sagar-II follows the first ‘Mission Sagar’ undertaken in May-June 2020, wherein India reached out to Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar and Comoros, and provided food aid and medicines. India deploys warship to provide largest humanitarian aid - over 600 tonnes of rice to disaster-hit Madagascar
