A Navigation and Direction Specialist, Vice Admiral Singh has held various Operational Staff and Command Appointments in his career spanning over 38 years. Vice Admiral Ajendra Bahadur Singh on Monday took over as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C), Eastern Naval Command (ENC) from Vice Admiral Atul Kumar Jain at the Naval Base on Monday. Vice Admiral Jain is now the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC) based out of New Delhi.
