Had the Indian Army not landed here, there would have been no Kashmir Issue :: Nayeem

JK National Front Chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan today said, “Had Indian Army not landed in Kashmir sixty eight years back, there would have been no tension on the borders and there would have been no bloody lines at all dividing peaceful Kashmiris.”

Nayeem in a statement issued today said the landing of Indian Army in Jammu Kashmir created an uncertainty in the whole South Asian region which has claimed “hundreds of thousands of lives so far.”

“The people are living miserable lives not only in the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir but in the whole region. India which claims to be the largest democracy in the world is identified as an oppressor in Jammu Kashmir and its so called democratic face has visible stains of blood of Kashmiris,” Nayeem Khan said.

He added, if India is sincere to “live peacefully” with its neighbors then it has to fulfill its promises made with the people of Jammu Kashmir by its leaders on the local and international levels.

“It is unfortunate that India is using oppressive measures against Kashmiris and for this purpose it is using its local collaborators whose activities are aimed at fulfilling the Indian goals,” Khan said, adding, “The latest shameful act of these collaborators is the use of forces against peaceful Kashmiris and arrest spree which they have started in nook and corner of the valley.”

Nayeem Khan said that India is busy using “oppressive measures” in Jammu Kashmir from round about seven decades now that is why the people of the State observe October 27, as a black day, the date Army landed in Kashmir .

He in his statement supported the shutdown call given by Hurriyat Conference for 27 October.

Referring to the latest statements of Indian leaders, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said, “Jammu and Kashmir is not a part of India, but an internationally accepted dispute so New Delhi must shun its illogic stand and policy so that not only 1.30 crore people of J&K but the people living in the whole region can live with peace and prosperity.”

Khan has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of the daughter of Imam of Jamia Masjid Srinagar.
