Some Tips To Prepare For UPSC / AFCAT


1. Discuss with your colleagues/friends and make up your mind regarding the service to opt for (Army / Navy / Air Force). A candidate must know about the entries to various training academies.
2. Preparation should start from Class X onward. Syllabus can be downloaded from the internet. Work out your time schedule for preparation well in time.
3. Solve old question papers regularly.This will enable you to solve maximum questions in the given time. Leading book stores have copies of old question and answer papers.
4. Read Competition Success Review regularly to improve your General Knowledge.




 5. Read one English newspaper daily. Listen to TV news also. 
6. Learn to write & speak English well. This will enable you to score well both in Written Exam and SSB.
8. It is very important to score well in Written Exam to be in the merit list. Combined marks of Written and SSB will make the final merit list.

Indian Army looking for new armoured vehicles for Ladakh, Tata among contenders

Humvee and American Stryker Infantry Combat Vehicle are the two others who are also being considered by the Indian Army to deliver such vehicles. Photo of a Tata Defence Combat Light Armored Multi Role Vehicle Seeking to provide highly mobile armoured protection vehicles to its soldiers in high altitude terrains like Eastern Ladakh, the Indian Army is looking to choose from three different vehicles including the indigenous Tata Wheeled Armoured Protection along with American Stryker Infantry Combat Vehicle and Humvee. The Indian Army has a need for armoured infantry combat vehicles for quick movement of troops in the Eastern Ladakh area where the Chinese have deployed their armoured personnel carriers in large numbers. ‘Disengagement an intricate process, needs constant verification’: Army
