CHOOSING THE RIGHT TRAINING / COACHING INSTITUTE … FOR WRITTEN ENTRANCE EXAM AND SSB SELECTION TECHNIQUES

More often candidates and parents are at a dilemma in choosing an ideal training / Coaching centres while applying for the Defence Services as Commissioned Officers! They are at a cross road when it comes to identifying a suitable institute amongst many mushrooming in cities across the country.

For such a situation it would be proper for aspirants and parents to either visit these institutes, view relevant internet sites, collect information brochures available with PROs of school / Colleges, attend seminars and education workshops or look for advertisements in the magazines and news-paper! Next is to prepare a checklist / cheat sheet querying the following:

1.       List of coaching centres nearer home / city
2.       Location, transportation facilities and accommodation (if outstation)
3.       Infrastructure for training
4.       Fees structure and mode of payment
5.       For written entrance examination: Syllabii, Time Table, study material, stationary requirements, seating capacity, qualification and number of instructors per candidate including number of practices with mock exam and feedback procedures!
6.       For the SSB testing techniques enquire:
- Are the instructors qualified / ex SSB selectors?
- Is the instructor specifically earmarked for Psychological Testing / Group Testing / Interview or is the same person conducting all the three subjects!
- Is personal counseling done to motivate an average candidate?
- Is the testing procedure updated / outdated?
- Infrastructure for outdoors complete and trainable?
- Medical facilities and first aid availability
- Any facilities for training in CPSS / PABT (for flying branch). Type of simulators as per latest technology!
- Any refresher programme and counseling facility (in case of large gaps in SSB call up dates).
- List of Referees clarifying above.

In a recent survey of existing coaching and training institutes reports indicate that a large number of institutes for Defence Services entry have mushroomed having plagiarised and copying materials of tried and tested major institutes and they are running a semblance of SSB Coaching with outdated training materials, resulting in depriving genuine candidates from getting selected.

A large number of Candidates (repeaters) have reported to this Academy citing half baked training by pseudo coaching centres subsequently they have cleared their entrance exams and SSB tests in merit. While with CAVALIER INDIA, a large number of testimonials are uploaded in website for new applicants to comprehend the above issue.

‘CAVALIER INDIA’ Training group of Institutions has made a niche in the educational industry with ISO ratings and widely acknowledged in the Defence Services circles! If a questions arises “Why only CAVALIER INDIA” the answer will be found in easily accessible website www.cavalierindia.comor call Toll Free number 1800-425-8939. In fact a personal visit to their public relation officer (PRO) at the desk will be the best.

On being asked if he was looking to cut down the manpower costs as rising salaries and pensions were taking away a large portion of the budget, General Rawat said, “I am looking at manpower costs. Why should a jawan serve for just 15 or 17 years, why cannot he serve for 30 years? We are losing trained manpower.”  Easing fears that this policy would change the age profile of the fighting force, he said that the frontline combatant could be young. “We have an Army Medical Corps, why can’t the nursing assistant serve ...
