PM Modi gives standing ovation and claps as Donald Trump raises Radical Islamic Terrorism - WATCH


Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a standing ovation to Donald Trump as the United States president raised the radical Islamic terrorism issue while addressing close to 50,000 Indian-Americans at the 'Howdy, Modi' event in Houston.

As Donald Trump said that the United States is "committed to protecting innocent Indian-Americans from the threat of radical Islamic terrorism", the 50,000 Indian-Americans attending the 'Howdy, Modi' and PM Narendra Modi gave him a standing ovation and clapped.

Donald Trump joined PM Modi at the mega event as a "special gesture" by him to underscore the special bond between the two countries. It is for the first time that Donald Trump and PM Narendra Modi shared a stage together.
He said, "In November, the United States in India will demonstrate tremendous progress of our defence relationship, holding the first-ever tri-service military exercise between the two nations called Tiger Triumph. We are committed to protecting the Indian-Americans from the threat of radical Islamic terrorism."

"We are working with India to enhance space-cooperation between the two countries," Donald Trump said, adding,
"To keep our nations safe, both the countries are forging an even stronger security partnership. We are looking to close several new defence deals soon."

Donald Trump also said that the United States will be with India. Border security is vital to both the United States and India, Donald Trump said as PM Narendra Modi clapped.
